Very lean

This is much leaner than 93%. It is also a finer ground meat than I like. When defrosted in the microwave it cooks the meat because it's in a tube shape, outside cooks while inside stays frozen. This is on the defrost microwave setting. The best way to defrost it is to put in in the fridge a few days ahead of time. I did find a lovely bbq slow cooker recipe (allrecipes) that this worked nicely.
Great for making spaghetti

Our family uses this for making spaghetti with meat sauce. The Midamar Halal Pure Ground Beef 93% Lean comes in the right size for making one batch of meat sauce. If we don't use it all we just put the rest in the fridge and it is good for 3-4 days.

Good qualiity ground beef. Quality is on par with any local farmers market, except halal of course :) Great taste, and very juicy. Our order arrived promptly in the mail and we have been happy with the convenience of being able to order our halal meats online, given that the nearest halal meat store is over 2.5 hours away right now.
