Marry Me Chicken Made Halal!

Are you ready to fall in love with your next chicken recipe? Because if you are, we have just the recipe for you with this Marry Me Chicken recipe, made with love from Midamar. You may have seen this recipe going around online so we thought it was our chance to take another viral recipe, and with a few easy twists make it your new favorite Halal recipe too.

We know you’re excited to get to the chicken recipe itself, but we want to tell you about the sides we served ours with that really elevate this beyond just a great chicken recipe. We kept the sides simple but delicious, opting to make our own homemade mashed potatoes alongside some Sno-Pac organic green beans. The beans are perfect for when you need a quick and easy side, just heat them up and they’re ready to serve, and the mashed potatoes are a simple task and turned out great. They were smooth and creamy, just like you want from mashed potatoes and were so easy to make while still giving you the quality and satisfaction of making something homemade, and in the end they bring the whole dish together the way a great side should.

Now for the chicken itself, the moment you’ve been waiting for, it’s time to see why this recipe is so popular online, and I’m so glad to say that this recipe absolutely delivers! The chicken was tender and juicy, and the cream sauce was so rich, creamy, and flavorful that you didn’t want to stop eating it, the sauce just requires a little bit of patience. Like an alfredo sauce, you just need to take the time to slowly whisk in the shredded cheese to ensure it all melts together evenly and avoid getting a lumpy sauce. After that we added some sliced mushrooms and diced Halal breakfast beef that added some earthy and savory flavors that was always a delight when you got it in a bite. And everything is made together in the same pan, so all the different flavor profiles get a chance to mix and get to know each other throughout the entire cooking process, and by the end they all came together to make an amazing dish that saves you time on dishes later. But we aren’t done just yet, on top of the great flavors, the chicken breast is very lightly fried before finishing cooking in the simmering sauce at the end and this gives the chicken a beautiful golden-brown color and light crust on the outside that added a fantastic mix of textures as well. All of this together with the green beans and homemade mashed potatoes made a dish that very quickly became a new favorite here.

And that’s all there is to it to give you a recipe that does it all. It’s an absolutely amazing mix of great flavors with a wonderful mix of texture alongside that come together to give you a recipe that is a delight to get to eat. Such a delight in fact that we couldn’t wait to share it with you and we hope you stop by again for our next recipe next week.

Ingredients

  • 6 russet potatoes, peeled
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ package Halal breakfast beef
  • 1-1.5 lbs Halal chicken breast
  • 5 large mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 cups Halal chicken stock
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups grated parmesan
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • ½ cup sun dried tomatoes in Italian seasoning
  • 1 package Sno-Pac organic green beans

Directions

  1. For the mashed potatoes, peel the potatoes and chop into large chunks. Boil in salted water until soft (about 20 minutes), drain, and add to a mixer bowl. Add butter, white pepper, and heavy cream. Mix on medium until smooth and evenly mixed. Keep warm and set aside.
  2. Thoroughly cook ½ package of Halal breakfast beef and dice when cooled. Slice 5 large mushrooms. Set both ingredients aside.
  3. Lay out paper towels and pat dry chicken breast, salt and pepper both sides, and dredge in flour until lightly and evenly coated, shaking off any excess.
  4. In a pan over medium heat, add butter and olive oil, mix until melted and combined. Cook chicken until both sides are golden brown and lightly crispy, remove from heat and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, cook mushrooms until soft, add garlic and stir until fragrant. Deglaze pan with chicken stock and simmer, add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Slowly add parmesan cheese in batches, whisking until melted and evenly mixed and sauce has thickened.
  6. Add thyme, oregano, chili flakes, sun dried tomatoes, and half of the diced bacon. Mix until combined and simmer. Add chicken and its juices. Simmer in the sauce until cook thoroughly. Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, and topped with remaining diced bacon.
