Amazingly Flavorful One Pan Street Corn Chicken

We love a one-pan recipe here, and we love them even more when they give us the chance to step up our chicken dinner game with a fiesta of flavor! This week’s Halal Street Corn Chicken has it all, juicy Halal chicken, a blend of rich flavors, and it’s so decadently creamy that it’s perfect however you want to enjoy it. Serve it with chips, over rice, or in a bowl on its own, you can’t go wrong!

Prepare To Enjoy

Once you’re cooking, you’re off to the races and dinner always tastes better when it’s conveniently made. Before you get cookin’, dice up a few fresh ingredients like a yellow onion, red bell pepper, and of course, Halal chicken breast from Midamar. Some recipes call for grilled corn, and that works and is tasty, but we wanted to keep this recipe nice and quick so we decided to use Sno Pac Organic Corn. We’ll mix that up in our pan later with all the rest of our veggies.

The bulk of the time spent prepping this recipe is getting each piece of chicken coated in some egg and a little flour. Spending a little extra time preparing chicken like this before frying always pays off when cooking. I think it’s always worth it for that extra bit of fried crispiness and rich golden-brown chicken.

One Pan Is All It Takes

Once the chicken’s cooked to that lovely golden-brown, removing it from the pan and frying the onion and the pepper right after lets them get imbued with that rich chicken flavor that’s leftover in the pan. This is where that ultra-convenient Sno-Pac corn comes into play as well. Mixing it in until heated through is great for saving time on this recipe and will still give you that great street corn flavor we’re here for in the end.

The real secret to the rich blend of flavors comes from the blend of seasoning that gets mixed into the pan. The always-classic garlic, onion powder, and cumin (a personal favorite) are great for adding a complex blend of flavors with some smokiness from a healthy amount of chili powder. And don’t worry, extra chili powder rarely makes things spicy.

Another huge plus from this recipe is its creaminess that makes it great for serving with chips, tortillas, or rice. That creaminess comes from the Mexican crema mixed in, it’s light on flavor so it never overpowers, but it makes this dish delectably smooth, great for serving over rice, or scooped up in tortilla chips, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Toss the chicken back in and give it a final mix and you’re all set!

Street Corn is Great at Home

I wasn’t prepared for how much I would like this recipe. We served ours over rice, topped with a little cotija cheese and extra crema and it was absolutely delicious. We also found ourselves snacking on this chicken with tortilla chips through our photoshoot, when it was about half gone we realized the chips needed to be put away!

This recipe makes plenty, so it’s a great option for serving to hungry friends and family as a tasty meal, or honestly it made a pretty fantastic snack option if you decide to enjoy it with chips. Options abound with this recipe, it tastes great no matter how you choose to enjoy, so give it a try for yourself and we hope to see you next week with another tasty Halal recipe.
