3 Quick and Easy Chicken Nugget Recipes

It's back-to-school season and you may or may not be a busy parent in need of a quick-and-easy recipe to satisfy your hungry kids, or maybe you just want a simple recipe and really love the taste of crispy Halal chicken nuggets! If one or both of these cases sound familiar then you’ve found yourself in exactly the right place, because this week we’re bringing you not one, not two, but three easy and very tasty recipes that make use of Midamar’s delicious Halal chicken nuggets. So, if you find yourself in the mood for a light and crisp chicken Caesar wrap, melty and cheesy broccoli mac n’ cheese, or a savory and flavorful chicken curry, read on!

We used Midamars Halal nuggets for all of these and they’re perfect for quick recipes that pack a flavor punch. It couldn’t be simpler to prepare these, with package instructions for heating them however you want, we popped ours into an air fryer and they always come out perfectly crispy.

With the nuggets ready to go, we’ll start with the Caesar wrap, it’s the simplest of all 3 and if you’ve had a Caesar wrap before then you’ll love this one. This is a recipe that would be great for a quick lunch as it’s mostly a matter of mixing the ingredients for a Caesar salad in a bowl and using nuggets instead of grilled chicken that would take more preparation. We used romaine, Caesar dressing, croutons, and shredded parmesan, and that’s pretty much all you need to prepare this. Lay those contents out on a tortilla or your favorite wrap, top with a few heated nuggets, and wrap it all up then you’ve got a light wrap with crisp greens and tasty breaded chicken. Between the simple preparation and the great classic Caesar taste, there’s a lot to love about this one.

The next recipe is for a chicken and broccoli mac & cheese, a classic for kids and adults alike who want a quick and tasty meal. If you really want to keep this one simple, you can use boxed mac with the cheese you mix in, toss in a few nuggets and frozen broccoli and you’re done. But a quick meal doesn’t mean you have to settle for a lesser cheese sauce, so we knew we had to make our own for this. It’s a simple sauce where you’re mostly mixing milk and shredded cheese in a pan until you get that smooth and creamy consistency, and this can be made while you’re boiling your noodles in another pot, so it’ll all come together in no time. The most important step of any good cheese sauce is not rushing through the mixing, shred your own cheese and add it to the pan in batches, mixing until it’s smooth before adding more. Otherwise, you end up with a lumpy cheese sauce and you deserve better than that! Once the cheese is done and your noodles are ready, add them together for a tasty mac, then toss in some heated and diced nuggets with a bag of heated Sno-Pac organic broccoli and bing-bang-boom, you’ve got an absolutely delicious mac, complete with juicy bits of chicken and crisp veggies throughout.

For this final recipe we made a chicken katsu curry, and we’ve saved the best for last as it was a personal favorite of ours. This is the most involved of all the recipes but is still done with minimal cook time and can be completed with one large pot. Roughly chop your carrots, potatoes, and onion and once they’re in the pot you’re ready to get cooking. With ingredients like these veggies, curry mix, and the nuggets you’re working with a lot of savory flavors, so the secret to this curry is the addition of honey to the vegetables that does just enough to add a great complimentary sweetness to the curry that makes the final product more complex and flavorful. If you’re familiar with how to make curry I’m sure you can make one from scratch that is incredible, but we opted to use a premade mild curry mix, and if you go the same route then this gives you the option to use a spicier mix if you want or add your own peppers to bring the heat. We went with a simple mild curry and once it’s mixed in and the sauce has thickened, this is ready to be served over rice and topped with your nuggets for a dish that may really surprise you with how good it turns out. We had high hopes for this recipe, and it definitely delivered becoming a new favorite personally and around the office.

Just like that, that’s all done and you’re now three great recipes wiser. Like I said before, these make for a perfectly quick lunch or dinner if you’re busy or just want something no fuss that doesn’t skip great flavor. We hope you try all three, and if you do let us know which one was your favorite or what you did differently to make them even better. Share these with friends, family, or anyone in need of a good recipe, and we’ll see you next time.
