A Full English Breakfast To Start The Day

It’s hard to beat a great breakfast recipe, the kind of hearty morning meal that gets you ready to take on the day; so, with that in mind, we had to try our hand at making a classic breakfast recipe beloved by millions with our own Halal spin on a classic Full English Breakfast!

I love the savory breakfast classics like sausage and bacon, but if you’re in need of Halal then that can be tough to find, so of course we’re making ours with Halal beef bacon and breakfast links from Midamar. Those combined with delicious fried veggies and the British favorite beans on toast come together to make a very tasty breakfast indeed with a lot to love that’s pretty simple to make.

There’s only a few steps to this recipe, and a few of them can be done at the same time so you can get to enjoying your breakfast faster, like pan frying the mushrooms and cooking the beef bacon in separate pans at the same time. Or cooking the scrambled egg alongside the sausage links, this way you can fry up the tomato in the leftover grease and impart some of that tasty sausage flavor.

But the real reason we’re making this recipe (aside from it being delicious) is that we found a can of the Heinz baked beans in tomato sauce that are used in Britain for these recipes. These can be found in the international aisle of some stores, or if you’re lucky enough to have international stores near you, you can probably find them there.

The beans on toast was the part of this recipe I was most curious to try. I already know I like all the savory goodness we talked about above, and I like combining things I like already so beans on toast for me was perfectly tasty! I know there’s a lot of people particularly here in the US that hear beans on toast and aren’t so sure about the combination, but it’s great and I highly recommend it.

For me personally, there isn’t a lot to dislike about a great Full English Breakfast, it has all of my favorites that I go to for a hearty breakfast, and they’re all on one delicious plate. The beef bacon and sausage links are always a favorite, and the combination of fried tomato and mushrooms goes with these perfectly. Combine them with the breakfast classic eggs, either scrambled or sunny side up, then round it out with a few slices of toast and the breakfast beans and it’s the perfect breakfast.

But don’t take my word for it, try it yourself! If you’re also a fan of savory then we think you’ll like it. What’re your thoughts on beans on toast? Let us know how we did with this recipe and what you did to make it your own in the comments and we’ll see you next time with another delicious Halal recipe.
