The Best Ranch Chicken Sliders Ever!
The Best Ranch Chicken Sliders Ever!
Sliders are a simple and kid friendly food that's great for any occasion! In this recipe, we use Halal chicken breast from our chicken tab. My crew and I wanted to try the trending technique where we shred chicken using an electric mixer instead of two forks. But, after discussing it and making the chicken, we decided that we'd shred the chicken in the traditional way as not to dirty another bowl. That said, if you removed the chicken to a mixing bowl, you'd probably be able to shred the chicken and add it back to the sauce in half the time. If you try that method head to our social medias and let us know how it went!
Now, let's talk breading. Everyone I've ever seen bread chicken has done it in a different way. Some use premade breadcrumbs (I am one of these people), my father likes to use corn flakes, and I've seen some use chips. In this recipe, however, I've decided to go with a combination of plan kettle cooked chips, pretzels, and parmesan. It took a little extra work getting it to a fine enough consistency to work as a breading, but it ended up being delicious. We also used it to bind together chicken so we could make nice little patties.
After that, it's as simple as frying and putting on a bun with your favorite toppings. We topped ours with leafy butter lettuce and tomatoes! If you want to see us make this, check the video below or you can find the written recipe further down!
1) In a slow cooker, place all ingredients for chicken and cook on low for 3 hours. Be sure to check after 30 minutes to stir.
2) In a mixing bowl, combine the pretzels and chips. Crush with a mallet. Mix in parmesan cheese and toss to combine. Place mixture in a food processor and pulse until a fine breading has formed.
3) Return to slow cooker and shred chicken with two forks. Stir the chicken to incorporate the sauce. Add 1 cup of breading and mix to combine. Once thickened, form into patties.
4) Lay 3 bowls. In one combine the flour, garlic salt, paprika, and pepper and whisk to combine. In the second bowl, combine the eggs and sour cream and whisk to combine. In the third bowl, place the remaining pretzel breading.
5) Dip patty in flour with one hand, then place in egg mixture. With your other hand, make sure the patty is covered in egg, then move to the breading. Coat the patty in breading and set aside. Repeat with all patties.
6) In a large deep pan or pot, fill about ¼ inch of oil. Get oil to 350°-375° and place patties in the oil. Fry on both sides until golden brown. Remove to a paper towel plate and let drain.
7) Place patties on bun with desired toppings and enjoy!
